"The attacker was described as plump and was wearing a black and yellow striped top"

Definitely more in this than a random attack, either it was revenge or they knew there was something else there to take as the violence inflicted was way over the top.

I'm with the other points of view...suspect there was more to this than meets the eye!

Doesn't make it any more right, but doesn't have the hallmarks of a random attack on the off chance the inhabitants might have a few bob stuck under the mattress in cash!

I bought my first house in Pitsea, just off Rectory Road!

It wasn't actually that bad there at the time.

Doesn't matter where it was. This type of thing happens all over and it's just fucking bang out of order. Problem is there seems to be more to this. Five tooled up blokes don't just randomly pick out a house to do this. I get the feeling this may be over drug money or some other issue. I can't believe this was just a random robbery.

Pit sea used to be such a nice place.

Re: Pregnant woman attacked while in labour
Probably the only house in Pitsea with sixty sovs in cash knocking about.

There has to be a bit more to it than just a random attack on two helpless people, I mean five people wouldn't take those sort of steps unless they thought they were going to get away with more than twelve quid each?

Agreed. Hopefully they get taken to one side and made to suffer horrible pain for a protracted period of time before being killed.

The birth of a child is supposed to be such a joyous occasion as well. Quite a shock, I imagine, to be mugged in the process.

This is NOT a job for the police. I hope they get caught by some locals with spines and we get some real justice. That story, at face value at least, has made me ill.
